Business Improvement Survey

We recommend the use of one of HPC’s leading surveying tools, PENTAGON5, designed to provide a snapshot of your organisations position versus best practice.

The foundation behind the report is based on the opinions of the respondents and forms a benchmark for improvement.

Employee Survey for Business Improvement - Pentagon5

We strongly advise that you send the survey to more than just your leadership team. Sending the questionnaire to a wider audience across all functional areas and levels within the organisation will provide a much greater insight to the perceptions of your staff across the 5 key areas of business acumen.

This enables you to identify and prioritise some of your key challenges, thereby providing the opportunity to shape or fine-tune the content of the Leadership.Summit itself.

To run the Pentagon5 survey, we recommend the following process:

  1. Identify target groups within the business to be surveyed
  2. Select questionnaire recipients; A random sample of between 50 and 250 participants is recommended , with a broad cross-section covering different age groups, divisions, length of tenure and locations
  3. A spreadsheet with all recipients names and email addresses is supplied to HPC
  4. An email is sent to each recipient inviting them to respond
  5. Each recipient completes the online questionnaire anonymously
  6. On completion by all respondents, HPC will examine the findings and present an analysis report that highlights the key findings. Graphically represented with a brief synopsis of each operational area, the analysis is easy to understand at all business levels
  7. HPC can then offer a consultancy service to provide recommendations to assist with the development of the final Leadership.Summit agenda and can help to shape any of the content.

Importance of Inclusion

Pentagon5 - example 1

Example 1

The more sample data included from each business level the stronger or more balanced the report will display. For example, if the leadership team are the only sample there may be a tendency to over state the effectiveness of the strategy segment. (See example 1).

Pentagon5 - example 2

Example 2

If senior and middle management are included in the survey, without sampling frontline staff, there may be a misrepresentation of the data in the areas of people and culture. (See example 2).

Pentagon5 - example 3

Example 3

When a random sample of senior, middle management and front line staff are included in the survey, there is a higher chance of identify where the real issues or challenges might lay.

In this particular example there is an apparent area for addressing attention in the Technology segment. (See example 3).

Request a sample report.
